Mohammed Tanweer

Tanweer is a Solicitor who specialises in Immigration & Public law. He graduated with a LLB from the University of Buckingham and later completed a Masters in Medical Ethics and Law at King’s College London, and his LPC from the University of Westminter. Tanweer is also an accredited Senior Caseworker under the Law Society’s IAAS scheme. Tanweer completed his training contract at a local high street firm in October 2022 and joined Oliver & Hasani Solicitors in December 2022. He has over 4 years’ experience in immigration related matters.

Tanweer’s work largely focuses on Judicial Review challenges against the SSHD and the Home Office before the Upper Tribunal (Immigration & Asylum Chamber) and the High Court (Administrative Court Division). Recent successful challenges include damages for unlawful detention, wrongly reached NRM decisions, delay in asylum claims and certification decisions under Section 94 NIAA 2002.

Tanweer has a breadth of knowledge and experience in private immigration matters including Asylum claims, NRM claims, Human rights applications, Settlement applications, Nationality applications, Visit visa applications, Bail applications, Appeals before the First tier Tribunal (Immigration & Asylum Chamber) & Upper Tribunal (Immigration & Asylum Chamber).

Tanweer can also assist with skilled worker applications, including entry clearance under Appendix Skilled Worker and leave to remain under the same route. Further, he can provide advice surrounding applications for a sponsor licence, including the requirements, duties and responsibilities associated with a sponsor licence.

Tanweer enjoys watching and playing football and is a die-hard Arsenal fan. He also enjoys travelling and exploring new cultures and cuisines.
